Case Study: InspiHER – Principal Information
Program Enablement & Leadership Communication Infographic
Program Enablement & Leadership Communication Infographic
School leaders play a critical role in the successful execution of large-scale student programs, yet they often receive information through lengthy emails or fragmented communications. For the InspiHER STEM event, principals needed clear, concise, and actionable guidance to ensure student readiness, meet deadlines, and coordinate logistics across schools.
The goal was to create a single, visual source of truth that would support principals in managing timelines, responsibilities, and communications efficiently.
Primary Audience
School principals
Assistant principals
School leadership teams
Key Constraints
Limited time and competing leadership priorities
Multiple deadlines across several months
Need for quick reference rather than detailed instructions
Information had to be easily shareable and printable
The solution needed to function as program enablement support, not instructional training.
I designed this infographic as the instructional designer and content strategist, responsible for:
Analyzing program requirements and leadership responsibilities
Identifying critical actions principals needed to complete
Translating event logistics into clear, task-oriented guidance
Structuring information to support planning, tracking, and accountability
Designing a professional, welcoming visual layout aligned with the program’s mission
This infographic was intentionally designed using performance support and executive communication principles.
Key design decisions included:
Task-based sections that clearly outline what principals need to do
A timeline/calendar view to support long-range planning
Checklist-style steps to reduce missed actions
Clear distinction between what the event is and what leaders must do
Positive, inclusive language to reinforce leadership partnership and ownership
The design supports clarity, alignment, and execution rather than content consumption.
The design process included:
Content prioritization to reduce cognitive overload
Information mapping to align actions with deadlines
Iterative layout refinement for readability and hierarchy
Alignment with stakeholder communication standards
This ensured the infographic could stand alone without additional explanation.
